Give Blood for Love!

Dayton Ballet and Community Blood Center Host Blood Drive October 28, 2005.

DAYTON, OH – Community Blood Center (CBC) and Dayton Ballet Association are collaborating this fall to offer local blood donors “Buy One, Get One Free” certificates redeemable for tickets to performances of ROMEO AND JULIET, a Dayton audience favorite, presented at Victoria Theatre November 3-6, 2005.

Dayton Ballet Dancers Richard and Jennifer Grund, costumed as Romeo & Juliet, visit the Community Blood Center Donor Room on October 28. Everyone who registered to donate blood received a "buy one get one free" certificate for tickets to the Dayton Ballet production of Romeo and Juliet playing at the Victoria Theater in Dayton November 3-6, 2005.

Costumed Dayton Ballet dancers portraying Romeo and Juliet will make a personal appearance at the downtown Dayton Community Blood Center location at 10:00 am on Friday, October 28, 2005. The “Buy One, Get One Free” ROMEO AND JULIET gift certificates are available to all donors who register to give blood on that day, Friday, October 28, 2005 between 8:00 am and 4:15 pm. The three Community Blood Center locations involved are downtown Dayton ( 349 S. Main Street, 937/ 461-3412), Middletown (3990 Roosevelt Blvd., 513/ 727-1995), and West Chester (8731 Union Center Blvd., 513/ 777-4428). Each certificate is redeemable at Ticket Center Stage for one free ticket when one adult ticket is purchased at regular price ($52, $46, $33 and $25). Donors must be at least 17 years of age, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds, and be in good physical health. Eligibility guidelines have changed in recent years allowing individuals on maintenance medications for conditions including high cholesterol, hormonal changes or high blood pressure to donate.
