Donate Blood - Enter Raffle for Tickets to See Kenny Chesney in Concert

DAYTON, OH — Donate blood and enter the raffle for a pair of tickets to see Kenny Chesney in concert!  Everyone, aged 21 and older, who registers to donate blood at any Community Blood Center (CBC) blood drive or fixed location March 6 – 18, 2006 will be automatically registered to win a pair of tickets to the sold out Kenny Chesney concert on March 24 at the Nutter Center.  Visit www.cbccts.org for a list of blood drives and fixed site hours and locations (Dayton, Middletown, Springfield, West Chester and Richmond, IN).  Employees of CBC are not eligible to win.

CBC has an urgent need for blood donors as the local blood supply is 500+ pints low.  All blood types are needed.

This is the last month donors can sign up to become members of CBC’s 2006 GOLD Club frequency program.  GOLD stands for Gift of Life Donor.  Club members collect points toward their choice of a thank you gift.  For more information, visit www.cbccts.org.  Donors can enroll through April 1, 2006 at any CBC or blood drive location.

Donors must be at least 17 years of age, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds, and be in good physical health.  The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) changes blood donor eligibility guidelines periodically.  Individuals with eligibility questions are invited to email canidonate@cbccts.org or call 1-800-388-GIVE.  Prospective donors with recent tattoos obtained in Kentucky or Ohio can now give blood as long as the tattoo area has healed and the procedure was done in a licensed tattoo parlor.  Donors need to bring either a CBC Donor ID card or other identification showing Social Security Number.
