DAYTON, OH (April 19, 2010) — Donate blood and join Community Blood Center (CBC) in going green for Earth Day! Those who register to donate at most Community Blood Center (CBC) blood drives and all branch locations April 19 – May 1 will receive a free limited edition “Earth Day” reusable grocery tote!
April is “Give Life” month and what better way to give life than with a blood donation. One pint of donated blood can help save the lives of up to three patients.
Donors are required to provide a photo ID that includes their full name. Past CBC donors are also asked to bring their CBC donor ID card. Donors must be at least 17 years of age (16 years old with parental consent: form available at www.givingblood.org or at CBC branch & blood drive locations), weigh a minimum of 110 pounds, and be in good physical health. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) changes blood donor eligibility guidelines periodically.
