Tis the Season to Donate Blood!

DAYTON, OH (December 19, 2009) —   Community Blood Center (CBC) invites you to the “Tis the Season to Donate” Blood Drive, Monday December 21 to Saturday, January 2 at all CBC branches and community blood drives. Everyone who registers to donate will receive a FREE $10 local grocery store gift card! Make your appointment today at www.Donortime.com or call 1-800-388-GIVE.

 The holiday season is a challenging time for the blood supply as student donors are on break and CBC’s regular donors get busy with seasonal activities and vacations. CBC encourages you to be a holiday hero and donate blood!

Christmas Eve: 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Christmas Day: Closed

New Year’s Eve: 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

New Year’s Day: Closed

           

Donors are required to provide a photo ID that includes their full name.  Past CBC donors are also asked to bring their CBC donor ID card.  Donors must be at least 16 years of age (16 years old with parental consent: form available at www.givingblood.org or at CBC branch & blood drive locations), weigh a minimum of 110 pounds, and be in good physical health.  The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) changes blood donor eligibility guidelines periodically.  Individuals with eligibility questions are invited to email canidonate@cbccts.org or call 1(800)388-GIVE.
